I wrote this blog as part of a politics class project. I chose to gain a new perspective on public school and learn more about the specifics regarding prayer in public school. I went to a private school my whole life, so all I knew about prayer and school is that they went together. This blog encouraged me to research the ADL and get the logistics. I learned why prayer is not allowed, and what is preventing it from being allowed. I learned what is and what is not allowed at graduations, and the reasons why Baccalaureate services are still allowed for public schools. All this information and answers can be found within my blog. I found results of a survey asking people what they preferred and how they felt on the topic, and then I created my own survey and sent it out to my politics class to see how they felt.
It was interesting to do this project and do something new that I was not used to. This was my first time creating a blog, and my first time creating a survey, and learning to analyze the responses, but now I know how to all those things. I shared this blog with my class, family, and friends. I informed people all around me with the issue of prayer in public school, I also like the style of a blog, because a person can pick and choose what interests them and only read a few blog posts, or read them all. If they want to know about the ADL they can read the post about the ADL, and if they want to know about graduation ceremonies, they can read that post. It puts the information out there in an organized way for the reader. Blogs are also interactive, and I asked many questions in my blog that I wanted people to answer by commenting. I only got a few comments, which is okay, because this was just a blog for a class. I hope to get it out to more people in the future and maybe get more followers and comments.
